The RA has updated its page on Public Arts Funding Initiative to reflect the latest position and to introduce everyone to our second arts project: A Labyrinth, which has been designed by one of our residents!
The RA will need to secure support from residents to spend some of the Arts Fund for installing the Labyrinth. We currently have £47,798.14 available to spend. We need to draw down £15,240 to cover the work involved in installing the Labyrinth.
The RA has therefore opened a vote for residents to confirm their support for Arts Project Two. Soha has confirmed it is happy for its tenants to vote on their behalf. Details of the vote can be found below:
- Voting Starts: Mon 14 Apr 2025 @06:00.
- Voting Ends: Fri 18 Apr 2025 @22:00.
- Voting Check Finishes: Sun 20 Apr 2025 @18:00.
- Voting Result Published: Mon 21 Apr 2025 @06:00.
The RA hopes everyone can find time to read up on Arts Project Two, and vote in support of it. To vote, please head to our voting page.

Can we have any more information about what the labyrinth is and what it would look like etcBy Nige on April 16, 2025 at 4:31 am
Unfortunately, we don't have any mockups of the labyrinth, other than the design available on the Public Arts Funding Initiative, but I'll try to describe it.You may think of a classic hedge-based labyrinth, which has a height, typically high enough so that you can't see over the hedge to work out how to reach the centre. The hedge defines the walls of the labyrinth and the paths through the labyrinth being grass.
Our labyrinth will be embedded into the grass, so it will have no height. The "walls" of the labyrinth will be defined by bricks inlayed into the lawn. The "path" will be formed by the grass that is lined by bricks, so Residents wanting to find the centre of the labyrinth will walk along the grass path lined by brick walls of the labyrinth.
Clearly, residents could work out the way to the centre of the labyrinth by simply looking at the maze from above. But for small kids, they will need to work it out by seeing which grass path takes them in the right direction.
Hope that helps!

There's a diagram on the Public Arts Funding Initiative (just click on the second tab at the bottom of the page) to see two images: one of the basic design and the other of a rough indication as to where it will be located. It may be easier throwing these co-ords into Google Maps: 51.64228600043067, -1.308603633122549. Click here: View location in Google Maps.
