Update on FirstPort Service Charge Payments

We have emailed FirstPort to ask for a payment extension to end Sep 2021. Firstly, to allow those who have yet to receive the invoice time to respond and secondly to allow the RA to request additional info to verify the accuracy of the invoices. We also noted that no resident has ever agreed to a 2-week payment period, which we think is beyond cheeky.

We suspect FirstPort may be prepared to compromise and allow us to pay by end Aug – this still gives us some additional time to look into the matter.

We have also asked for assurances that any perceived “late” payment does not attract any aggressive enforcement action and that they keep the RA advised on how many residents may be in this position. At least that way, we can help in ensuring no aggressive enforcement action is ever required. We can’t see any reason why FirstPort will not agree to this request. It’s in everyone’s interest to smooth out any potential issues before any costly action might be required.
