Thames Water Handover Update

We haven’t heard much about the adoption of the sewers and pumping station from Bloor to Thames Water over the past couple of years.

To be honest, it’s not that big a deal for residents, but there was some activity on site today and we thought it was worth sharing what we found out from the workmen.

Apparently, back in 2019 Thames Water initiated a survey of the sewers and pumping station installed on the development. There were some issues identified as a result of that survey.

Today we saw some heavy equipment on site from Dalrod undertaking some maintenance. That included some fixes to pipework underground.

It seems a little odd if there were issues identified back in 2019 and they have only just found the time to fix them, but that seemed to be the story.

As to whether that means that handover of the sewers to Thames Water is going to happen anytime soon, we are not too sure.
