Following a lot of hard work by the team looking into how we best spend the £47k arts funding that we have available to us, our council rep has suggested that we can’t actually progress with this until the Management Company (MC) takes over responsibility for the Public Open Space (POS), so effectively it’s all on hold for the time being.
Until we know (roughly) when handover is likely to take place, there’s no point in us attempting to progress with the arts projects any further at this time.
Handover won’t take place this side of 2024 now. On the positive side of things, at least that saves the residents another £30,000 to £35,000 in service charges that they don’t need to pay to FirstPort!
