Points raised in relation to the southern end of the east side of the development:
- Again, the plan indicates there should be hedge planting all along the boundary, but we concluded that other than one exposed area, there was sufficient natural planting to cover the boundary.
- Work on improved drainage on the path will be undertaken fairly quickly. This will comprise the application of a scarifier-type tool to create natural drainage. Winter will be the ideal time to verify whether this is sufficient.
- Proposal: EML to scarify the path and surrounding land to see whether that will improve the drainage.
- Noted that the bench had been damaged.
- Action: AB to look into best way to repair this.
- Play area – some discussion held about how best to repair the grass. This may involve the residents keeping out of the play area for a number of weeks. The plan indicates there should be a hedge around the play area. The gates need to be fixed and the chain remains rough, although ROSPA didn’t pick up on this in a recent inspection.
- Action: EML to propose a plan to repair the grass surface of the play area.
- Proposal: Plant hedging around the play area; fix the gates and file down the rough chain on the swing.
