Points raised at the entrance to the development:
- Unclear whether the barn conversion is going to be part of the development and therefore contribute to MC costs.
- Action: AB to check whether barn conversion is part of the development.
- We considered the planting between the barn conversion and plot 1 (the Bolberry show home). Noted that the owner of plot 1 has been in contact with the owner of the ransom strip behind that home to agree a maintenance plan. It was unclear whether the square next to plot 1 was owned by the same person or someone else.
- Action: NB to check ownership of square land with owner of plot 1.
- Proposal: No additional planting required in this area.
- There is approx. £42k available for an architectural feature at the front of the development. This needs to be spent within 10 years (of the planning approval) and this is under the control of VWHDC. VWHDC are keen to seek ideas from residents as to what the architectural feature might be.
- Opportunity: For residents to influence the architectural feature.
- Agreed that there is hedge planting missing on the east boundary starting from the end of the fence aligned with 1a Furlongs right through to the south east corner of the development. It may not be appropriate to plant in all of these areas – specifics noted below.
- Proposal: Plant hedging along fence from 1a Furlongs through to the brick wall. This will hide the fence. A gap between the fence and the hedge will be required to allow maintenance.
