Notes from Pre-Inspection Meeting on Tue 12 Oct 2021

These notes will be available in a Word doc on the shared drive in due course, but to make these easy to read, we thought we would post sections of our notes on FB, based on the area of the development they concern.

Remember this only focuses on the Public Open Space (POS), so it doesn’t concern roads and street lighting etc.

Important to highlight that there are a number of proposals in here. If anyone STRONGLY objects to any of these, then they need to contact me ASAP. We may then need to engage with Bloor and VWHDC to discuss in more detail.

The proposal is that East Midlands Landscaping (EML) will undertake further works between now and end Nov (in line with the proposals outlined). An inspection will be arranged with VWHDC at that point for a formal assessment. The expectation is that unless there’s something significant outstanding, VWHDC will issue a certificate of Practical Completion. This will start the 12 month maintenance period before a further inspection is then held with VWHDC. Note there could be remaining remedial works to be undertaken during the 12 month maintenance period, but we would expect these to be small scale.

If all is still ok after the 12 months, VWHDC will issue a Certificate of Final Completion and handover to the Management Company (MC) will take place.
