We had a good discussion with the Bloor Adoption Manager on Thu afternoon. Summary:
- Remaining Public Open Space works are scheduled in for Aug (through East Midlands Landscaping).
- The hope is that the formal inspection with VWHDC will take place early Sep.
- The Bloor Adoption Manager challenged our proposal to hold out for the full 12 months maintenance period before handover to Chamonix/FirstPort takes place (even though we had explicitly agreed this in writing). I’m going to facilitate a call with VWHDC and Bloor this week to set out a clear approach to handover. The legal agreement supports us in this respect.
- The Bloor Adoption Manager raised the suggestion of a partial handover again. He wants to do a partial handover so that they can open the play area. Bloor would accept any and all costs associated with this initial handover, so it shouldn’t impact the residents at all. The only concern is that it allows FirstPort in and our thinking is that we should avoid that. We had another agreement from about 9 months ago, that handover was all or nothing. We think we should stick to that. Again, the legal agreement supports us in this respect.
- A lot of the detailed specifics, the Bloor Adoption Manager had either forgotten them or very little progress has been made.
We will post some of the detailed discussion separately.
