We had a call with the Bloor Adoption Manager yesterday afternoon and he provided the following updates:
- All of the road-related work is now completed.
- The scarifying work on the east side of the development is due to be undertaken this week or next week.

- There have been issues with planting supplies from overseas. Initially, the planting around the play area is likely to be completed shortly; the rest is likely to be delayed until late Jan.
- OCC appear to be happy with the remedial works that Bloor has undertaken – their Adoption Manager expects the Certificate of Practical Completion to be issued shortly.
- The fencing alongside the Pumping Station on Plough Lane is going to be removed and a low post and rail fence installed.
- The play area will stay under the management of Bloor, rather than be transferred to FirstPort to manage – this was a specific request to avoid FirstPort incurring unnecessary costs on our behalf.
- In terms of the SW corner connection to East Way: apparently Thames Water is installing an additional fresh water connection on to the development which goes through this area – this is the reason why this connecting path hasn’t been completed. Bloor will be undertaking some minor hedgerow clearance, then Thames Water will do their installation, then Bloor will finish this connecting path off to the same standard as in the SE corner.
- Few other minor updates but nothing new.
- Formal inspection is likely to be first week of Feb once all of the remaining works have been completed. Next contact from the Adoption Manager is likely to be early in Jan.
