We continue to hear nothing from the council over handover. As previously reported, we have held two pre-inspection meetings in the past 12 months or so. The first was in Oct 2021 (ish) and the last one was held on 1st March 2022. Since then, the council have done nothing and currently (as we understand it) do not even have anyone assigned to The Dovecote to progress the handover.
Reminder that it’s Vale of White Horse District Council that is legally responsible for signing off the works completed by Bloor Homes, awarding it a Certificate of Practical Completion. We are nowhere near that since we have a long list of work that Bloor still needs to complete.
However, rather than Bloor progress with the work they know needs to be completed, they are waiting on confirmation from the council as to what that agreed list of remaining works is. All very frustrating, but as we said in my other post, at least this means the residents continue to avoid having to stump up between £30,000 and £35,000 in service charges…
