Some of the detailed discussion with the Bloor Adoption Manager:
- Street Lighting – Phase 1 street lighting has been handed over to OCC. No one raised any concerns over the brightness of the LEDs. We think we will have to raise this directly with the OCC to challenge them. We would imagine they didn’t do any explicit tests on the 50% reduced brightness level.
- Service Strip on Furrows End – internal discussions still ongoing, so no decision made at this point.

- Paths and Drainage – some work is planned in Aug to alleviate some of the drainage issues. We would then need to monitor and review again once we have some meaningful rain.
- Litter Bins – separate dog waste bins are due to be installed in the next 2 weeks. These will be emptied as part of the maintenance routine.
- Play Area – proposal is to open all play areas in the next few weeks on the basis that these areas will be handed over to the MC, i.e. FirstPort are engaged.
- Blocked Drains – as far as the Bloor Adoption Manager is concerned there are no blocked drains remaining. We need to monitor and raise issues as and when necessary.
- Lammas Land Illuminated Bollards – looks like this work will be undertaken in Aug and will then become the responsibility of the MC after handover.
- Trees Close to Houses – as part of work to be undertaken in Aug, the Bloor Adoption Manager will check all trees and provide some assurance that there are no safety risks. There is a separate piece of work going on with some residents that raised concerns about trees close to their houses.
There was additional discussion on other stuff like ransom strips, title deeds, maintenance schedule, but none of these have a significant impact on residents.
