

Clarification about FirstPort Additional Charge

Just want to make sure this is highlighted to everyone that has recently received a charge from FirstPort:
- Our strong advice isΒ NOTΒ to complain to FirstPort (FP). By engaging FP in any shape or form, gives them a reason to charge us for their time. Those “charges” end up in the rent charge that they pass on to the residents at the end of the year.

- You need to submit a complaint to Bloor Homes. It was Bloor Homes who awarded a contract to FP in the first place. It is Bloor Homes who is ultimately responsible for the Public Open Space (POS).
- FP have absolutely NO LEGAL STANDING for charging us whilst the POS is still the responsibility of Bloor Homes.
- We have already successfully claimed back the charges made by FP from Bloor Homes. That includes charges that have ended up simply being a reduction in the credit balance held with FP.
We have all of the documentation that anyone needs to submit a claim. Just ask!
