Challenge to FirstPort Service Charges

We have indicated in the past that as a principle, we don’t believe there is any justification in FirstPort (FP) charging residents anything at this point in time, ahead of formal handover from Bloor to the Management Company (MC). We know a lot of you agree on this point.

We have pulled together a high level argument undermining FP’s assertion that they can charge us for admin, insurance, management charges and the like. I’ve forwarded that to Soha and they have engaged legal representation to assess whether there is any merit in that argument. We are hoping we will get some feedback from Soha by Fri 24/09 (or so).

There’s no guarantee of any outcome here, but it should give us an idea as to whether there’s any point in challenging FP on it’s charges.
