After the shocking news uncovered this week about the District Council breaking their commitment to residents, The Dovecote Residents’ Association (TDRA) Elected Committee met to develop a plan to respond to the unexpected events earlier in the week.

Background

After the news was leaked at an enforcement meeting on Mon 2nd Oct 2023, TDRA didn’t wait too long before convening a meeting and focusing on the job at hand.

We are now more resolute in our determination to achieve the outcome that we desire: securing control over the day to day running of the Management Company.

Our initial 4-point plan can be found integrated into our new section of this site, entitled Taking Control. The title seems appropriate since that’s exactly what we intend on doing! There is a separate post that explains more about the updates to the RA’s website.

The team encourages the residents of The Dovecote to respond with their thoughts on this plan. Remember that our objective is to ensure the best possible outcome for all residents is achieved.

This all adds up to a fair amount of work for the small TDRA team. We will continue to take one step at a time on the path to taking control of The Dovecote (Drayton) Management Company.
